Journey to 100K

Love From America was built to not only be an organization that challenges the normative practices of western development, but actively grow alongside the community partners who inspire us.

Currently, nonprofit models are filled with barriers for women and BIPOC founders. For example, a 2019 study by the National Council of Nonprofits found that, "in all three sectors of our economy—for-profit, government, and nonprofit—women are paid less than men and people of color are held back". Additionally, resources like Candid and ABFE have shown evidence that black CEOs are more likely to lead small organizations with the least financial resources.

Love From America believes that barriers such as accessibility, systemic knowledge and visibility contribute to a growing gap in practices outside the normative model. That is why LFA aims to build and remain a grassroots organization.

This means that Love From America's first project starts at home. Join us in our journey to 100K. You can find out more below.

What Your Gift Builds With
Love From America

Within the normative practice, BIPOC and women founded start ups are often forced to conform to standardized systems or remove/abandon social emotional supports. That's why Love From America's foundation includes:

  • Competitive day 1 salary and benefits for a full-time leader to coordinate community-led development internally and across borders (no more pro bono or volunteered labor for our most vital assets!).

  • Proper funding for quality technology, software, and equipment needed to design our internal systems that will fulfill our promise of transparency in showing the full, unfiltered truth regarding global development and our role.

  • Kickstart early engagement with our community partners to begin co-creating, funding, and delivering community impact.

We know your time and consideration is incredibly valuable. We hope you join Love From America in co-creating a future where equity, collaboration, humility, and ownership can become normative practice. This will guide us towards a society that removes barriers in accessibility, systemic knowledge, and visibility.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
